BEHIND BARRIERS OF ETIQUETTE

According to George Elliot "Friendship is the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words."

You must be wondering, why I started this off with this quote…(keep wondering, am in quest of the answer too..:P)
Life is all about making new friends and moving on!!

What exactly is friendship??

We have often sought answers to these questions, yet we have never come up with a satisfactory answer. I feel, this is because a relationship is an blend of beautiful and multifarious feelings, which may not often be described in words..(How TRUE!!)

Is it compulsory to define a relationship??(Yeah, it is!)

Defining a relationship is by no means uncomplicated, as there are so many facets to it. However we don't need a bunch of lexis to make us realize the unfathomable meaning of friendship.

According to me,

FRIENDSHIP means HAPPINESS!!

A friend should be a person, who should be able to fill in your world with cheeriness!

Now, I don’t mean that Friendship is not about merry-making and fun, still  it does involve equal loyalty from both the partners when necessary …

One thing, I want to stress upon, is that ,it should be understood that ‘not all friends can be best friends’.

I have come across numerous numbers of friends in my existence, but there are very few who really was part of my thick and thin.

I expect my friend to hold onto me in all phases of life. Someone has rightly said, identifying your friend from the lot is the complicated thing to do!!

I completely agree!

Generally, people tend move out of the relationship when their expectation is not satisfied…. My question is, what is the need of expectation and explanation from a friend?Okay, this is not an ideal world (I accept); therefore some forms of expectations are allowed, but that has a limit too!!

I generally apologize when:

a) (to be honest) I don value the person{(to be even more)I  don’t give a damn }

b) When I don’t want to end the relationship with a brawl!

c) When I realize ma mistake,
say sorry, And Mean It.

We get back together n there is no room for another sorry!
And, it is the former, most of the time!!

The two Evils-expectation and explanation..!!(am not elaborating on this)

Chuck them out of your life and stay happy forever!
That is my mantra of life.

The next thing is all about manners (You and manners???)Oh! Yeah!)

 

The basic etiquette is important (v important). I personally don’t believe in the person, involving the relation, but in the relationship that is holding us!

I don’t go around and address every friend of mine as ‘doggie’ (it is ridiculous, isn’t it?)
… The more you value the relationship, the strong it becomes!

 

POSSESSIVENESS – most unpleasing word in English!

When do you get possessive?

When you try to be over protective, domineering and most of all INSECURE!

When someone is moving away from us, we just tend to convince ourselves that the other person is at fault (most of us do that), but we fail to understand that, when someone is moving on, it means, that we have failed to understand them!

And yeah, speaking of ‘understanding’….

Ufff, I was wondering it’ll be very good if people really understand the meaning of ‘UNDERSTANDING’.

According to me, when someone states ‘ I know her, she is that way, am accepting her the way she is’

It simply means, they are lying!

Its like announcing ‘am reserved’ (how weird!!)

 

Coming to the end,

Friendship is all about mutual caring and intimacy among one another.

It is the string of love with unresolved conflicts and tiffs and principally ‘intimacy’.

I have a bunch of friends, who really mean a lot to me, who never say ‘I know her, I understand her, am just accepting her’

, who listen to me tolerantly, acknowledge my little whims and fancies, are a part of my fantasy, smiling at me (when I commit a blunder), never ask for explanations, help me fighting my tears, bear with my excitement level (I owe u all for thisJ), a stern ‘NO’ whenever I go out of control, nod at my passionate and extremely indifferent thoughts and wannabe definitions and most of all never let me down before anyone for any reason!!

 

All I have to say is ‘LOVE YOU ALL LOADS’

 

N yea…

 

‘Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival ‘
